Cookie Policy

What this site stores in your browser, why, and how to turn off the part that is optional.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This site uses a small number of cookies. Most are needed for pages and forms to work. Two are for Google Analytics, which tells us which pages get read.

There is no advertising pixel here, no retargeting, and no session recording.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise that browser later. Some are needed for a page to work at all. Others exist to measure or to follow what you do. This page lists both kinds, because we use both.

What this site uses

Set byWhat forExpiresType
Our website software Keeps a form you were part way through, and keeps an administrator signed in while editing the site. Nothing is set for a visitor who only reads pages. Session to a few days Necessary
Cloudflare Turnstile Separates real visitors from bots on our enquiry forms. It may store a short-lived entry to carry out that check. Short-lived Necessary
Google Analytics _ga Tells one browser apart from another, so repeat visits are not counted as new people. 2 years Optional
Google Analytics _ga_<id> Keeps track of the current visit. 2 years Optional

Both Analytics cookies are set on our own domain, not Google’s. What Google receives and does with it is covered in section 4 of our Privacy Policy, and Cloudflare’s side is in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

What this site does not use

  • Facebook, LinkedIn, or any other advertising pixel
  • Retargeting or remarketing cookies
  • Session recording or heatmaps
  • Any cookie that follows you to other websites

Our fonts are served from our own server rather than a font provider, so no font company learns about your visit.

Turning analytics off

The two Analytics cookies are the only optional ones here, and you can stop them without affecting anything else on the site. Any of these works:

  • Install Google’s own Analytics opt-out add-on, which covers every site you visit.
  • Turn on your browser’s tracking protection. Firefox and Safari block this kind of cookie by default.
  • Block cookies for meteorsltd.com in your browser settings.

We have not put a consent banner on this site yet. We are working on one, and once it is in place analytics will wait for your answer before it runs.

Until then, the controls above are the way to switch it off, and you can write to us at any time to ask what we hold.

Content loaded from elsewhere

Photographs, country flags, and one animation library are fetched from other companies’ servers. Those companies can see your IP address and basic request details when your browser asks them for a file, in the same way any web request works. They are not setting tracking cookies on our behalf. The full list is in our Privacy Policy.

If you click our WhatsApp button you leave this site, and WhatsApp’s own terms take over from that point.

Controlling cookies generally

Every browser lets you see what is stored, delete it, and block cookies for a site. Look under Settings, then Privacy. The help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge walk you through it.

Blocking everything will stop our enquiry forms from submitting, since the bot check needs to run. The rest of the site will read normally.

If this changes

If we add or remove anything, we will update this page and move the date at the top.
