Privacy Policy
This explains what meteorsltd.com collects when you visit the site or send us an enquiry, what we do with it, and how to get it removed.
1. Who we are

2. What this covers
This policy applies to this website: the pages you browse and the forms you choose to fill in.
It does not cover the employee data we handle once you become a client. When we employ someone on your behalf, that information is governed by our service agreement with you and by the employment and data protection law of the country where the employee works. Ask us for that documentation separately.
3. What we collect
Information you send us
Everything in this section is something you type and submit. There is no other way for us to get it from you.
| Form | What it asks for |
|---|---|
| Quote form (home and country pages) |
Where you are hiring, how many employees, your work email. |
| Contact form | Your name, work email, company name, phone number, where you are hiring, type of employee, headcount, your timeline, and anything you write in the message box. |
Submissions are emailed to us and stored in the website’s own database so a message is not lost if the email fails.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. These are kept for security and troubleshooting, not to build a profile of you.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the site is being used: which pages people read, how they arrived, roughly where in the world they are, and what device they are on. We look at this to decide what to write next and what to fix, not to identify anyone.
Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser, both on our domain rather than Google’s:
| Cookie | What it does | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Tells one browser apart from another | 2 years |
| _ga_<id> | Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
Google receives technical details with each page view: the page address, your device and browser, and an approximate location worked out at country or city level. Google acts as our processor for this, and also uses the data for its own purposes as described in Google’s privacy terms for business.
These are the only cookies on this site that are not strictly necessary. We have not added a consent banner yet. Until we do, you can switch analytics off for yourself by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, by turning on your browser’s tracking protection, or by blocking cookies for this site. None of that affects anything else here.
5. The cost calculator
The employee cost calculator runs entirely in your browser. The salary figures you enter are never sent to us or to anyone else, and nothing is saved. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.
6. Bot protection
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which separates real visitors from automated traffic. It runs silently in the background. There is nothing to click and no puzzle to solve, so you may not notice it at all.
To do its job, Cloudflare processes a limited set of technical signals from your browser: your IP address, TLS fingerprint, User-Agent header, and the site key tied to our domain. Cloudflare states that it cannot directly identify individuals from these signals. They are used to detect bots on our behalf, and by Cloudflare to improve Turnstile itself.
Cloudflare’s handling of this data is set out in the Turnstile Privacy Addendum. If you have a question about this processing, write to us rather than to Cloudflare, and we will deal with it.
7. Content loaded from other services
Some parts of a page are fetched from other companies’ servers. When your browser requests one of those files, that company can see your IP address and basic request details. We send them nothing about you ourselves.
- Unsplash and Pexels for photographs.
- Wikimedia and FlagCDN for logos and country flags.
- cdnjs (Cloudflare) for the animation library used on some pages.
- Cloudflare for the bot check described above.
- Google for the analytics described in section 4.
Our fonts are served from our own server, so no font provider sees your visit. If you click our WhatsApp button, you leave this site and WhatsApp’s own privacy terms take over from there.
8. Cookies
Three kinds of cookie are in use here. The website software may set functional ones, for example to remember a form you were part way through or to keep an administrator signed in. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary ones to carry out the bot check, described in Cloudflare’s cookie policy. Google Analytics sets the two listed in section 4.
We set no advertising cookies. There is no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn tag, no retargeting, and no session recording.
Our Cookie Policy lists everything in one table, with the ways to switch analytics off.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The forms may stop working correctly if you block everything.
9. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and send the cost breakdown you asked for.
- To follow up about that enquiry and discuss how we could work together.
- To keep the site running, secure, and free of spam.
- To meet our own legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your information, rent it, or pass it to advertisers. We will not add you to a marketing list off the back of an enquiry without asking you first.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, our lawful basis is your request to be contacted, which is a step taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries and protecting the site from abuse.
10. Who we share it with
Only with the services that make the site and our replies work:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Our email provider, which delivers the message to our inbox and our reply to yours.
- Cloudflare, for the bot check.
- Google, for website analytics.
- Our professional advisers, or an authority, where the law requires it.
Each of these acts on our instructions. Two exceptions are worth naming: Cloudflare uses bot signals to improve Turnstile, and Google uses analytics data for its own purposes as set out in its business privacy terms.
11. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. If you become a client, your records are kept for as long as the service agreement runs and for the period our accounting and tax obligations require after it ends.
Server logs are kept for the short period our hosting provider sets, usually a few weeks.
12. Your rights
Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- send you a copy of it,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete it,
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Email sales@meteorsltd.com and we will reply within 30 days. We will not charge you and we will not ask why.
If you are not happy with how we handled your request, please tell us. Reply to whoever answered you, or write to sales@meteorsltd.com and say so plainly. We would rather hear it from you and put it right than leave you dissatisfied.
13. International transfers
We operate from Bangladesh, and our clients are mostly outside it. Your information is therefore stored and processed in Bangladesh, and may be accessed from India or Pakistan where our local teams handle hiring in those countries. Our hosting and email providers may store data in other countries as well.
Analytics data goes to Google, which processes it on servers in the United States and elsewhere.
Bangladesh has not been assessed by the European Commission as providing an equivalent level of data protection. Where a transfer out of the UK or the EEA is involved, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard with the provider concerned. Google’s transfers are covered by its own standard contractual clauses.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles your information, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page for a reasonable period. It is worth checking back if you enquired with us some time ago.
