How a payroll cycle runs
The same sequence every month, in every market, with a human check before anything is released.
Inputs collected
Salary changes, new joiners, leavers, overtime, allowances, bonuses, and approved expenses are captured against your roster before cutoff.
Calculations run
Gross to net is computed with income tax, social security, and statutory contributions applied at current rates. Our Meteors Payroll Accuracy System cross-checks every figure against the live tax tables for that market.
Accountant sign-off
A licensed accountant reviews the register before release. Variances against the prior cycle are flagged and resolved rather than passed through.
Payment and filing
Salaries are disbursed in local currency. Withheld tax and employer contributions are filed with the correct authority. You receive the payroll report and one consolidated invoice.
What’s covered
Everything between an employment contract and money in your employee’s account.
Gross to net calculation
Base salary, allowances, overtime, shift premiums, commission, and bonuses processed to local rules for each component.
Income tax withholding
Tax deducted at source at the correct rate and remitted to the relevant authority on the required schedule, with receipts retained.
Statutory contributions
Employer and employee contributions to social security, retirement, and mandated funds calculated, paid, and filed in each market.
Local currency disbursement
Employees are paid in their own currency into local bank accounts. You fund in your reporting currency and we handle conversion.
Payslips and reporting
Employees receive a compliant payslip each cycle. You receive a detailed register showing every component of cost per person.
One consolidated invoice
However many markets you hire across, your finance team reconciles a single invoice rather than a separate arrangement per country.
Where accuracy actually comes from
Payroll software applies the rules it was configured with. It doesn’t notice when a rate changes mid-quarter, when a new statutory contribution is introduced, or when a calculation is technically valid but obviously wrong.
Licensed accountants review every register before release. They compare against the prior cycle, question variances, and confirm each rate against the current published figure rather than the one stored in the system.
Automation catches most errors. The remaining ones are the expensive kind, and those need a person.

Included. Payroll processing, tax withholding, statutory filings, payslips, and reporting are all covered by the monthly per-employee rate. There are no per-payslip charges, per-filing fees, or year-end add-ons.
Employees are paid in their local currency into local bank accounts. You fund in your reporting currency and we manage conversion, with the rate applied shown on your invoice. No separate treasury arrangement is needed on your side.
Our compliance team tracks regulatory changes in every market we operate in and applies them before the next cycle rather than after. If a change is backdated, we calculate the adjustment and show it as a separate line so your records stay clean.
Yes. Overtime, shift differentials, night premiums, holiday pay, commission, and bonuses are recalculated each cycle against current statute rather than carried forward. Each component is treated according to the local tax rules that apply to it, since these often differ from base salary.
No. Payroll is delivered as part of our Employer of Record service, where Meteors is the legal employer and holds the registrations. See how our Employer of Record service works.
